I’m the kind of person who requires every form of technical support that can ever be needed for any electrical gadget. This year I ventured to buy myself a laptop to manage my tasks, both professional and personal. The laptop memory was not something that was part of my concerns when the unit significantly slowed down after a few months of use. After all, I was a first-time user of Dell memory on my laptop since I have been more exposed to Apple memory functionality on my desktop computer when I was younger. Even then, it was all up to my brother to install and check on all the stuff needed to make it work optimally. But I read online and even saw some videos on youtube, about user-installable expansion kits and there are those specifically designed for my unit’s Dell system. I was very excited to try it out myself with the guidance of my computer geek of a brother.

Epson Stylus SX200
November 5th, 2009 — Computers, Technology
The latest addition to Epson’s multifunction range is the Stylus SX200 which promises to be an affordable solution to your general printing, scanning and copying needs. Its affordable in two ways, the first is the purchase price and the second is the running costs in terms of the price of its printer cartridges. A set of Epson SX200 ink cartridges can be purchased for under £30 and because it uses individual Epson ink cartridges you only have to change one cartridge at a time. The performance figures of the Stylus SX200 look very impressive on paper with a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440dpi and a printing speed of 34ppm, however some of these figures don’t stack up in terms of real world performance. The obvious one is the printing speed of 34ppm, this is a greatly exaggerated figure as it is based on the printer printing in draft quality and the print is so pale in this quality setting that it’s barely readable. Increasing the quality setting to normal reduces the speed to 4ppm which is a far cry from 34ppm. One thing that surpasses expectations however is the print quality which is excellent on all types of documents, the SX200 is even capable of printing high quality with amazing quality. The scanner and copier are as expected and their functions are a bid basic but they do the job. The SX200 is not the quietest printer in the world but the built quality is pretty good and feels though it should fall apart under normal conditions. Overall the Epson have done well to offer the SX200 at such a low purchase price and reasonable running costs.
The difference of a 4 GB laptop memory
October 14th, 2009 — Computers
I was so proud when I upgraded my RAM memory to 4 GB last month that even my friends who use my laptop from time to time noticed the big difference in speed and processing power of this upgraded laptop. It was 2 years model of mac book slim and the Apple memory of that was still 512 MB when I first bought it so imagine the big difference in capacity now. Although it took me quite a while to upgrade the laptop memory as for me, it was fine as long as it worked, but now I felt the need when most program I run on it would not load properly since it lacked memory capacity already. When I installed this 4 GB module I bought from www.memoryupgrade.pro, things certainly changed for the best in this laptop as it is now more faster and better performing than ever.
Old Dell memory upgrades still available at MemoryUpgrade.pro
October 8th, 2009 — Business, Computers
Dell computers tend to be very picky sometimes. I remember attempting to upgrade my Dell memory, the improper installation of a Dell memory upgrade kit that I got from a website made my Dell computer perform even bad. I would blame this on poor information provided by the website that sold the memory upgrade to me and also my ignorance. I learned that not all laptop memory upgrades available online are compatible to whatever computer being upgraded. I learned that everything actually should be based on the model and on what the computer needs. I tried doing the same procedure but this time getting it from MemoryUpgrade.pro. After two years since I last attempted to do this I was still able to find and order the best computer memory upgrade for me. I was able to install everything in just a few minutes. The installation manual and videos I found on MemoryUpgrade.pro helped a lot. Now that my Dell computer works, I am confident that I’d also be able to pull it off when I deal with my Apple memory.
No difficulty in RAM memory upgrading
September 23rd, 2009 — Computers
I just love competing with my friends on who has got the best and fastest laptop and I am aware of the fact that in order to win this thing, I will have to be aware that every 2 to 3 months or so, there are newer and faster memory modules that appear in the market. the current RAM memory I know of is easily 4 GB, but there are now ones available as high as 8 GB and I have even heard of 16 GB which although sounds just too good, I cant afford it at the meantime. So I will have to settle with a 4 GB Apple memory at the moment. But even so, I had to search for the best rates in memory modules as they really don’t come in cheap. I was referred to a site by a friend where he told me they had laptop memory available anytime at the best prices and that was www.memoryupugrade.pro and I actually found it to be true.
